Tickets to All Out, All Elite Wrestling (AEW)’s fourth scheduled event, set to take place in Chicago, sold out after a mere 15 minutes. Last September, Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks organized and promoted All In, a pay-per-view event that featured wrestlers from Ring of Honor, Impact Wrestling, the National Wrestling Alliance, and New Japan Pro Wrestling, among others. All In was a huge hit with wrestling fans looking for a high quality alternative to WWE’s brand of professional wrestling.
All In was such a big success in fact that it directly led to the creation of a new wrestling company, All Elite Wrestling. AEW was founded by Rhodes and the Bucks, and is backed by the billionaire Khan family, owners of the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL team. With Impact Wrestling (formerly TNA) now far from its peak, and ROH also currently struggling to keep their audience happy, the door is wide open for AEW to not only become the clear #2 wrestling promotion in the U.S., but also a real alternative to WWE’s market dominance.
Today, tickets for All Out, AEW’s unofficial sequel to All In, went on sale. If anyone doubted the demand for AEW’s product, tickets for the event sold out in only 15 minutes. Granted, as with any anticipated event, lots of those purchases were probably made by scalpers who plan to re-sell them on the third party ticket market. Still, scalpers wouldn’t be buying them up so fast if they didn’t anticipate high demand. AEW posted the following Tweet in celebration of the quick sell out.
Clearly, the almost universally positive reaction that AEW’s debut show, Double or Nothing, earned in May helped spur on the desire for tickets to All Out. While AEW will hold its second show, Fyter Fest, in June, and its third show, Fight for the Fallen, in July, August’s All Out will be the company’s next “big” event. Just as in WWE, all AEW events aren’t created equal, and the sequel to All In will surely represent one of the highlights of 2019 for AEW.
Only two matches have been announced for All Out so far, but notably, they’re two matches with huge implications for AEW’s future. First off, WWE icon turned All Elite Wrestling top star, Chris Jericho, will take on “Hangman” Adam Page, with the winner becoming AEW’s first world heavyweight champion. Secondly, Jon Moxley, WWE’s former Dean Ambrose, will face off against Kenny Omega, commonly considered one of the best wrestlers in the world. Moxley is set make his in-ring debut against Joey Janela at Fyter Fest, which will stream absolutely free on B/R Live.

AEW All Out takes place on August 31, while their next show, Fyter Fest, streams live on June 29.
