While Fox is promoting The Predator at Comic-Con International 2018 in sunny San Diego, Fox Home Entertainment has an even larger presence to promote the August home video release of Deadpool 2. And that meant the cast, writers, and director David Leitch returning to the infamous Hall H in a time slot usually reserved for Marvel Studios annually. And while Fox didn’t make any announcements here, they did showcase a few of the new and altered scenes coming with the Deadpool 2: The Super Duper Cut....

When the TV adaptation of The Boys begins, it’s clear that the group are a mostly amateur, ragtag bunch of anti-supe oddballs. Butcher, Frenchie and Mother’s Milk were brought together by Mallory to police superheroes, but it seems their impact diminished once those official ties to the U.S. government dissolved, effectively leaving the trio out in the cold. 20th Century Fox debuted both the trailer and two scenes from Alien: Covenant at a recent press event in New York, as part of a concerted effort to get people buzzing about the upcoming Alien film ahead of the trailer’s official release. The theatrical preview for director Ridley Scott’s sci-fi/horror movie - a project that will help to bridge the gap between Scott’s 2012 prequel/spinoff Prometheus and his original 1979 classic Alien - is expected to debut online soon, before being attached to fellow Fox release Assassin’s Creed in theaters this month....

The most recent entry in the Role-playing games (RPG) category is Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The Switch-only installment of the Xeno franchise, which was created by Monolith Soft and released by Nintendo, is back and better than ever. There are a total of 24 classes in Xenoblade 3, including the six classes you start off with and the 18 optional classes that may be unlocked through heroes. All you have to do is locate their hero, get them, and then work on unlocking that class for anyone you think will fit in well....

AMC moves forward with its planned series based on Joe Hill’s novel NOS4A2, by officially greenlighting the project after a lengthy development period. The decision gives the cable network a chance to deliver a genre hit with a supernatural horror series that also has the benefit of a built-in audience thanks to Hill’s name. The series would follow in the frozen footsteps of AMC’s recent critical success The Terror, which proved the network could deliver on high-concept adaptations of genre material without sacrificing too much in terms of tone and content....

Apple just unveiled the Apple Watch Series 4 with support for ECG readings, and now accessory maker AliveCor has announced its own electrocardiogram reader. The company, which has made several iPhone health accessories in the past, says its ECG reader will have 6 leads, compared to the 1 lead Apple Watch. In typical care clinics, as TechCrunch notes, patients have 12 leads placed across their chest to pick up heart data....

The images above allegedly show a Foxconn assembly line in addition to some up close spy shots of what could be Apple’s next generation iPhone 5S. The images were originally posted by Chinese CNET/CBSi-owned tech site sjbbs.zol.com and later reposted by GizChina. We see a front panel largely resembling the currently shipping iPhone 5 in the images and some rather nice shots of the devices’ components, providing clues that this is indeed the next-gen iPhone and not the iPhone 5....

New photos of the iPhone 6 surfaced tonight from Sonny Dickson that appear to show the backplate of the upcoming iPhone 6. Dickson says that these photos were obtained from a source with access to the part, and they do appear to be legitimate. The first photo, seen above, shows a close-up view of the cutouts for the camera (which appears to be raised), circular True Tone flash, rear microphone, and Apple logo....

FX has revealed a trailer and premiere date for Devs, an original TV show from Ex Machina and Annihilation director Alex Garland. An eight-part limited series, Devs stars Sonoya Mizuno (Garland’s frequent collaborator) as Lily, a software engineer who investigates her mysterious employer (Nick Offerman), believing him to be responsible for her boyfriend’s murder. She and Offerman are joined in the cast by Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Cailee Spaeny (Bad Times at the El Royale), and Stephen McKinley Henderson (Fences) in smaller roles, along with Jin Ha as Lily’s ex-boyfriend Jamie....

FX has released a teaser and first-look images for Alex Garland’s Devs. The sci-fi limited series marks Garland’s first excursion into television, as well as his third effort as a director after the acclaimed sci-fi dramas Ex Machina and Annihilation. In addition to writing and helming all eight episodes of the show, Garland reunited with Sonoya Mizuno for Devs, following her key supporting roles in his previous films. This time, however, Mizuno has been upgraded to a leading part opposite Nick Offerman, with Jin Ha, Zach Grenier, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Cailee Spaeny, and Karl Glusman filling out the rest of the ensemble....
